Kochi: Charge Sheet was filed in the controversial Muttil tree cutting case in the First Class Judicial Magistrate’s court, Sultan Bathery on Monday.
The 84,600-page charge sheet was filed after perusing 400 articles of evidence, including DNA test reports of the trees to study their age.
Twelve persons including Muttil South village officer K K Aji and special village officer Sindhu were named in the chargesheet. The accused were slapped under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.
