Kochi: Nine people were killed and two others injured in a fire in a four-storey building in Delhi’s Vivek Vihar area on
Initially the fire was confined to the second floor. Later it spread to the third floor and fourth floors, media reports said.
Fourteen fire tenders rushed to the spot after the blaze was reported at about 4 am on the second floor of the building.
The injured were rushed to the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for treatment. Some people are reportedly missing.
It took two hours to bring the fire under control by 6 am.
The cause of the fire is yet to be known even as there are reports of an AC blast.
