Kochi: India lads lifted the ICC under 19 World Cup for the fifth time beating England by four wickets with14 balls left to spare at Sir Vivian Richards stadium at Antigua.
Winning the toss, England chose to bat, but failed miserably to endure India bowlers attack.
It was the deterrence of James Rew that helped England to build a respectable total of 190 runs. Rew was unlucky to miss his century by five runs as he was sent to pavilion at 95.
James Sales made 34. Chasing a winning total of 190, India made 195 losing only six wickets.
For India Shaikh Rasheed proved his caliber by making 50. Nishanth Sindhu made unbeaten 50 and Raj Bawa 35.
Bawa also shone with the ball by claiming five wickets for 31 runs. Ravi Kumar took 4 for 34.
For England Joshua Boyden, James Sales, Thomas Aspinwal took two wickets each.
