Kochi: Kerala High Court expressed strong concern over the KSRTC failing to honour the direction of the court to pay salary by fifth of every month.
The court directed Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) to first pay the salary and talk to the unions to settle disputes raised by the employees.
The management said that it did not have enough money to pay salaries. The court directed the KSRTC management to use its assets to clear wages. The management’s talks with the unions held today failed to get any results as there were differences on duty timing and transfer of staff.
At Least 329 employees are enjoying the protection of keeping away from getting transfers.
Ninety per cent of the employees have not received their salaries for July. The court criticised the KSRTC for failing to honour the court direction to pay salary by every 5th.
The court would further hear the case on August 24.
The matter came before the judiciary as the employees moved the court citing the KSRTC’s failure to honour the court order.
