Kochi: Kerala State Beverages Corporation (BEVCO) earned a record ₹826.38 crore through the sales of liquor during the Onam season ended September 4 posting 6.38 per cent increase in the same period last year.
In the same period last year it was Rs 776.82 crore..Onam eve Uthradam day witnessed an increase of 9.23 per cent at ₹137.64 crore against last year ₹126.01 crore in 2024. According to BEVCO Managing Director Harshitha Attaluri, sales in six outlets crossed the ₹1-crore mark this year.
The sales In Karunagappally was ₹1.46 crore, Kavanad ₹1.24 crore, Edappal ₹1.11 crore, Chalakkudy ₹1.07 crore, Irinjalakkuda ₹1.03 crore, and Kundara ₹1 crore. BEVCO’s first super premium outlet in Thrissur also registered notable sales of ₹67 lakh.
The sales between April 1 and September 4, 2025, was ₹8,962.97 crore, compared to ₹8,267.74 crore during the same period in 2024 — a jump of ₹698.23 crore 8.45 per cent.
