Kochi : India continued its winning streak against West Indies beating the visitors by 44 runs to take 2-0 lead in the second One Day International at Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
West Indies won the toss and decided to field. Starting first, India made 237 for 9 with Surya Kumar Yadav hitting a sparkling 64, and K L Rahul 49.
In reply, West Indies were all out for 193. S Brooks hit 44, A Hosein 34.
For West Indies A Joseph and O Smith claimed a couple of wickets while for India Prasidh Krishna got four wickets and Shardul Thakur two wickets.
The third and final ODI will be played on February 11.
This is Rohit Sharma’s first ODI series win after becoming a full time captain.
