Cops shielding SDPI, says BJP

Kochi: The BJP has warned of serious consequences if the state government failed to bring to book the murderers of a young RSS activist in Palakkad.
The government should nab those responsible for the murder at the earliest failing which the consequences would be serious, State party chief K Surendran told reporters at Thiruvananthapuram.

He said two RSS activists were killed by the SDPI in Thrissur and Palakkad in central Kerala within a span of ten days in a well planned manner. The situation is getting very dangerous and the Law and Order situation is getting worse, he added.

Violent attacks were carried out in areas which are normally peaceful. The police are scared to even mention the name of SDPI as many of the local bodies are ruled by the CPM with the tacid support of SDPI.

Sanjit was an activist in Elappully where there was tension between RSS and SDPI. According to police there are a few cases pending against Sanjit.

Sanjit was murdered when he was going on his two wheeler with his wife. The car carrying five assailants followed him and hit his vehicle. As soon as he fell on the road, they pounced on him and attacked him brutally infront of his wife. There were more than 30 wounds inflicted on his body, media reports said.
