Memory card viewed thrice; no bail to Suni

Kochi: In a major development, a forensic test has found that the memory card containing visuals of abuse of the actor was accessed three times on different dates while it was in the custody of different courts, media reports said.
The test conducted by the Forensic Science Lab found that the memory card was first opened on January 9, 2018, second time on December 13, 2018 and the last time on July 19, 2021.
The result said that the memory card was opened in the computer and smartphone at night, media reports said.
The Crime Branch probing the case has received the result of the test conducted by the laboratory.
At a time when the deadline set by the Kerala High Court to file an investigation report in further investigation ends on Friday, the crime branch is going to seek more time to carry out a probe into the change in hash value.

The Kerala High Court had given permission to carry out forensic examination of the memory card even as the trial court had rejected permission for it.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court rejected the bail plea of prime accused Pulsar Suni.
Suni’s lawyer argued that all others who were in jail in connection with the case have secured bail. Even the accused who is facing charges of plotting the crime is out on bail.
The Kerala government told the Supreme Court that the probe will be completed in six months.
The case relates to abduction and abuse of the actor on February 17, 2017 in Kochi in Kerala.
Actor Dileep is an accused in the case and was in jail for 85 days before securing a bail.
