Kochi: Tharbiyath Higher Secondary School, Muvattupuzha, won the “Footbaalaanu Lahiri” cup organised to eradicate drug addiction in Thodupuzha.
The winning team defeated SNDP, Adimali, 2-0. Twenty teams from different schools in Idukki took part in the competition.
Dean Kuriakose, MP, distributed trophies and cash awards.
Fayiz of St George Higher Secondary School, Kallanickal, was selected best defender while
best goalkeeper prize went to Rinse of SNDP, Adimali.
Mohammed Fidal of Tharbiyath School was
picked as the best player.
Thodupuzha Soccer School (TSS) director and Idukki Football Association president P A Saleem Kutty presided.
Football player Rahul S welcomed while Sr Honey of Pratheeksha Bhavan special school gave keynote address.
Tomy, Director, Divya Rakshalayam, who was the Chief Guest, greeted players.
Idukki District Football Association secretary M H Sajeev delivered felicitations while
SNDP school principal Manoj spoke.
TSS secretary Amal delivered a vote of thanks.
