Kochi: The sexual abuse case registered against Director Balachandra Kumar turned out to be fictitious.
The police moved the Kerala High Court seeking permission to close the case as there was no evidence to prove the allegations.
The case was registered after a woman accused Kumar of abusing her in the house of a lyricist when she had approached him seeking a job 10 years back. She accused him of taking video of the incident.
The woman had lodged the complaint with the DGP against Kumar following which the police conducted a probe.
The woman came out against Kumare after
he had made startling revelations against actor assault case accused Dileep which led to the police registering fresh cases against Dileep.
This helped police to unearth many digital evidence against Dileep.
Meanwhile, the complainant has reiterated her charges and said she would approach the court.
