Truncated National Song in Kerala assembly

Kochi: A truncated version of the National Song Vande Mataram was played prior to the Governor’s address at the Kerala Assembly on Friday.
Despite Lok Bhavan’s directive, Members of the Kerala Police played a tailored National song, media reports said.
Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar expressed strong displeasure, citing a protocol violation.
Governor’s Stance: Governor Arlekar told reporters that this truncation directly violated established ceremonial protocol.
He raised the matter directly with Speaker Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan.
The BJP sees it as a deliberate insult to the Governor, the national song, and the Lok Bhavan directives.
