Kochi: Actor Vinayakan was arrested today for creating a nuisance in a police station in Kochi under the alleged influence of alcohol, media reports quoting police said. Vinayakan of the ‘Jailer’ fame rushed to the Ernakulam North police station to find out the identity of the cop who was sent to his apartment to settle a spat between him and his spouse, the reports said. It was Vinayakan who summoned the police to his house where a female cop visited in mufti and took statements from Vinayakan and wife. Vinayakan is stated to be unhappy with the demeanor of the police woman following which he reached the police station. He was fined for smoking in a police station following which things got more complicated. Police accused Vinayakan of abusing the SHO after which he was subjected to an alcohol test at a hospital where he was tested positive, Police claimed. Responding to the media about his arrest, Vinayakan said he was wondering about the reason of his arrest.
