Kochi: Crisis in BJP’s Kerala unit continues unabated even as the RSS and the central leadership slog without taking steps to act against divisive forces.
Even as the firebrand leader Sandeep Varrier
continues to remain sulked for being insulted by Palakkad candidate Krishnakumar, all efforts by the RSS and BJP to bring him around have not yielded any result.
Insubordination is at the peak in the party in the state for the last several years with leaders heading their groups resorting to all shortcut methods to grab plum posts by blackmailing the party.
The division in the party came to the fore in May this year amidst lok sabha polls as
some leaders skipped a meeting convened by party’s Kerala in-charge Prakash Javadekar to review the election works in the state.
BJP national executive committee member and NDA joint convener P K Krishnadas, State general secretary M T Ramesh and vice president A N Radhakrishnan were absent.
Meanwhile, the state leadership has found Sandeep’s utterances objectionable and has decided to wait until the polls are over to act on it.
On the other hand CPM leaders have thrown baits to lure Sandeep to the Left front to which he belonged before joining the BJP.
