Kochi: As part of unearthing information about alleged sharing of classified information by a CRPF personnel with Pakistani intelligence officers (PIOs), the NIA on Saturday carried out searches at 15 locations spread over 8 states, The Times of India reported.
NIA claimed to have seized several electronic gadgets and sensitive financial documents, along with other incriminating materials following the arrest of Moti Ram Jat.
As per NIA investigations, the suspects had connections with Pakistani operatives.
Searches were conducted in Delhi, Maharashtra (Mumbai), Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Assam and West Bengal, the agency said in a statement late on Saturday.
The CRPF ASI Moti Ram had received funds through various conduits in India.
