Kochi: With the Israel-Iran conflict entering the fifth day, there were reports of explosions and heavy air defence fire by Israel in Tehran in the wee hours of Tuesday, BBC reported quoting Iranian media.
Iran launched missiles in parts of central and northern Israel, albeit at less intensity than the previous nights with 0no reports of direct impacts or casualties.
Speaking to the London-based Iranian International television channel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel had significantly damaged Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missiles programmes – but that his forces still needed more time.
He again hinted at regime change, saying the campaign was giving Iranians the chance to topple the Islamic Republic
A news editor and another employee of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) were killed after the main office was hit by Israeli on Monday, Iran news agency IRNA said. A live news broadcast showed the news reader quitting the following the blasts.
