Kochi: Women and children were among atheist 30 people reportedly killed when Pakistan struck them from air in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Monday, media reports said.
Chinese fighter jets dropped and laser-guided precision munitions were used on a village in the Tirah Valley around 2 am.
Pakistan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has hit out at the government and the party’s Khyber office.
The area is close to the international border abutting Afghanistan.
In March 10 civilians were killed in an anti-terror op. The operation was ordered after intel said the area was being used as a “hideout and transit point for terrorist” elements.
Ten bodies were recovered from the area.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a remote and mountainous region riddled with terrorist hideaways.
The target was a bomb naking facility operated by the Tehreek-e-Taliban, a terror group Pak reportedly based in Afghanistan. Kabul has dismissed the allegations.
