Kochi: Seventeen people were killed and 124 missing when a barrier lake in Taiwan breached due to heavy rains triggered by Super Typhoon Ragasa causing havoc in parts of east Asia since Monday, media reports said.

There were no flights out of Hong Kong after 6pm Tuesday, according to the airport’s website.
