Twenty 20 on poll mode

Kochi: Twenty20 Kizhakkambalam,
perhaps the only political party run by a corporate major, is aiming to capture power in at least one panchayat in 35 targeted assembly constituencies in Kerala for which it has already started preparations.
A nonprofit charitable organization at Kizhakkambalam in Ernakulam district, Kerala, Twenty20 Kizhakkambalam, redefined politics in a state where communist party came to power through ballots in 1956.
While panchayats in the state were running with a deficit budget, it presented a surplus budget in Kizhakkambalam.
Party state Vice President P V Gopa Kumar told Reporter channel that it had a strong presence in 50 Assembly constituencies where Offices of ward level committee and panchayat mandalam have been opened.
It has started campaigns in Kunnathunadu and other places where house to house visits are being carried out. Out of 100 houses visited, 70 are supporting Twenty 20, he said.
There is a possibility of winning 60 panchayats, he said.
It is forcing on Cochin Corporation and
Tripunithura, Maradu, Trikakara, Aluva municipalities.
The candidates finalising process is on.
It is going to highlight issues like waste management, drinking water, road development, drainage among others.
Candidates are being picked from the General public and Residents’ association.

It first won the local body elections in in 2015. Twenty20 Kizhakkambalam is a nonprofit charitable organization promoted by the Kitex Garments, a garment exporting company part of the Anna Kitex Group—ranked in Forbes Asia’s 200 Best Under A Billion Dollar companies.
According to Sabu M. Jacob, the Managing Director of Kitex Garments, the victory was because of the failure of the prevailing political parties.
