Kochi: Thirteen persons were killed and many injured in an explosion cracker making unit at Thrissur on Tuesday.
The accident happened when people were engaged in making fireworks display items for Thrissur Pooram.
A large quantity of explosive materials were stocked in the unit for making the ‘fireworks display’ for Friday and Monday.
The unit was manufacturing items for the Thiruvambady side, one of the two major participants of Thrissur Pooram.
Mishap claims 13 lives
