Kochi: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi landed in Islamabad to talk to Pakistani high-level officials” and not to talk to the US representatives to end the Middle East war.
The US is sending US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Islamabad.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqaei says Araghchi would be meeting only “Pakistani high-level officials”, BBC reported.
Trump said Iran is “making an offer and we’ll have to see”, but he didn’t yet know what the offer was.
Security was beefed up across Islamabad, with major roads closed and public transport suspended.
