Kochi: Tired of the attack on social media platforms, actor Joju George deleted his accounts on Facebook and Instagram. He has reportedly switched off all his mobile phones and is taking special care from keeping away from media.
Congress state chief and other leaders of the party had publicly targeted the actor for questioning Congress’ motive behind their road blockade protest against fuel price hike on Monday. The Joju George issue had shamed Congress as the police proved that all their allegations against the actor turned out to be baseless.
The charge that Joju was inebriated and had abused women leaders went baseless as the medical test on him turned out to be negative. In turn, the police have registered cases against 38 Congressmen including former Mayor Tony Chammany for various charges including smashing of the windscreen of his car.
A Congress worker was arrested by Maradu police this afternoon for thrashing the windscreen of the actor’s car. The worker has suffered injuries on his right forearm and did not seek medical care at any hospital. There was bloodstain seen on the top portion of the broken windshield of the actor car.
Police reportedly are trying to match the blood samples collected from the car and that of the arrested Congress member to confirm his involvement in the crime.
A loss of Rs 6 lakh has occurred to the luxury car Joju in the alleged attack by Congressmen at Vytilla yesterday.
