Kochi: The Crime Branch has filed a petition in the trial court seeking cancellation of the bail of actor Dileep on charges of violating bail conditions in the actor assault case of 2017.
The petition said that there was evidence of Dileep influencing witnesses which is a breach of bail conditions.
New evidence is coming each day against Dileep violating bail conditions, the Crime Branch said.
The Crime Branch said that even lawyers were used to influence witnesses, the crime branch said.
Dileep was arrested in the case and was granted conditional bail by the High Court in 2017.
The court had said that the Crime Branch could move the trial court if Dileep violated bail conditions.
Meanwhile, the trial court has sought a report from the Crime Branch ADGP on the allegations of leak of information to the media on further investigation of the actor abduction case on Monday.
The court was not satisfied with the clarification given by DySP Baiju Poulose in this regard.
