Kochi: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan is once again on a collision course with the LDF government by refusung to sign 11 ordinances which the government failed to pass in the Assembly
Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, he said if the government wanted to rule through ordinances then why is there an elected government?
He said he needed time to study the ordinances, which if not signed, would lapse on Monday.
The government had reportedly assured that a special session of the Assembly would convert all the Ordinances into legislation.in October.
The Governor was angry over the government’s plans to curtail the powers of the Chancellor (Governor) of state varsities.
