Kochi: South Africa defeated India by five wickets in the 30th match of the 45 clashes of the Men’s World T20 in Victoria Park in Australia on Sunday.
Winning the toss, Indiandecided to bat first and could make only 133 for nine. Thanks to Surya Kumar Yadav’s 68 that helped India to reach 133. Hooda who replaced Axar Patel failed to make any contribution.
South Africa’s Ngidi broke the spine of India by taking four wickets. For South Africa, Markaram made 52 and Miller 59 not out. South Africa made 137 for five in 19.4 overs. Arshdeep Singh took two wickets.
