Kochi: After presenting the youngest Mayor for Thiruvananthapuram, the CPM has made another history by making a teenager CPM branch secretary in Kollam.
The 20-year-old Arya Rajendran was made capital city mayor last year breaking all past practices. Similarly, S Shubhalakshmi, 19, has been made the new leader of the Vilakkuvettom branch. The branch comes under the Punalur area of the party. She is a first-year student in BA literature at St Cyril’s college, Adoor.
She is vice president, DYFI Punalur North area zonal committee, SFI Punalur area committee member, President, Balasangham Punalur area. She is the daughter of G Omanakuttan and B Sindhu.
When contacted, CPM Kollam office confirmed to newsskerala.com that she is the youngest branch secretary.
