Kochi: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that he was confident that the truth behind the diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case would come out.
The Central Government would act at the right time in the case, he said while addressing the press at Thiruvananthapuram.
As the matter is before the court and investigation agencies, it was not proper to speak more on it, he said.
There is a problem in the case which is known to everyone. When reminded about Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan describing his visit as part of politics, he said if ministers do not review the projects or if they have no knowledge about the projects, then they are not doing their work.
Ministers in the Modi government are working as teams in implementing projects in areas like railways, education, Covid, vaccination among others, he said.
Union Ministers were working hand in hand to ensure that people got the benefits of Central government projects.
Those who are not worried about politics and are focused on development would understand it, he said. We call it development while some consider it as politics.
He said the Sri Lanka problem is complex and India was supporting the people there.
There is a financial crisis in the island nation. Regarding issues with China, he said official level talks are going on.
