Kochi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Personal Assistant
Bibhav Kumar was arrested by the Delhi Police today for allegedly assaulting AAP MP Swati Maliwal inside Kejriwal’s house the other day, media reports said.
Swati accused Bibhav of slapping her many times and kicking her in the stomach and pelvic area when she had gone to the Chief Minister’s residence to meet Kejriwal, the reports said.
The Aam Aadmi Party claimed that Swati’s charges were baseless and said the allegations were made on the basis of a plot set by the BJP.
The AAP said Swati wanted to meet Kejriwal without having an appointment. The AAP claimed that the BJP blackmailed Swati showing a case pertaining to an “illegal recruitment of contractual employees in DCW.” Bhibav Kumar has also filed a police complaint against Swati accusing her of abusing him. The BJP and AAP have traded charges against each other.
