Kochi: Making history of sorts, 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player to play
Indian Premier League (IPL).
Hailing from a small village in Bihar, Suryavanshi, was roped in by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.10 crore at the mega auction held at Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah.
He was presented at the auction at a base price of Rs 30 lakh. Rajasthan and Delhi Capitals vied to rope in Vaibhav with the former placing the highest bid. Suryavanshi was just five days old when India led by M S Dhoni lifted the ODI World Cup title at home in 2011.
