Cops solve case

Kochi: One-and-half years after the disappearance of Wayanad native Hemachandran, police have found that he was killed and buried in a forest in Tamil Nadu near Wayanad, media reports said.
The police reached the Chermbady forest area with the suspected accused on Saturday morning and efforts are on to exhume the body.
Two accused have been detained.
Tamil Nadu police backed by a forensic team are assisting the Kerala police.
A dog squad from Kochi is also used for the investigation.
Hemachandran used to operate petty chits from Kozhikode where he was residing with his family.
He was constantly troubled by money lenders who took him to a location where he was allegedly tortured following which he died.
The accused took him away after his death and had buried in the forest.
The case was cracked while questioning some accused in a theft case in Kozhikode.
One of the accused gave information about the crime leading to unearthing of the crime.
