Kochi: Actress Minu Muneer was detained by Tamil Nadu police in connection with alleged trafficking of a woman aspiring to become an actor into a sex racket, Manorama reported.
Minu, who accused a few actors of sexually abusing her, was taken into custody by Tamil Nadu Police from Aluva in Ernakulam district.
Minu was accused of trying to hand over her relative to the sex mafia in the name of giving her a chance in films in 2014. She was taken to Chennai on Thursday morning, media reports said.
Minu accused actors including Jayasurya, Balachandra Menon, Mukesh, Edavela Babu, and Maniyanpilla Raju, of sexual harassment by promising her roles.
