Kochi: Fortysix people, including two Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel died in a massive cloudburst at the remote Chishoti village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Thursday, NDTV reported.
Several people are believed to be trapped under earth, officials said, adding that over 160 people have been rescued so far.
“Administration has immediately swung into action, rescue team has left for the site. Damage evaluation and, necessary rescue and medical management arrangements are being made,” said Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh in a post on X.
