Kochi: The controversial SNC Lavalin case involving Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will come for hearing before the Supreme Court on September 13.
After multiple adjournments the, the Apex Court is going to hear the case where the CBI has challenged the acquittal of Vijayan and others by a CBI special court and the Kerala High Court a few years back.
The CBI Special Court had acquitted Vijayan and a few others in 2013 which was challenged by the CBI before the Kerala High Court.
The High Court upheld the CBI Court’s ruling but allowed CBI to continue the probe against a few others who then moved the Supreme Court challenging the High Court verdict.
The CBI also challenged the ruling of the High Court absolving Pinarayi Vijayan and others.
The Rs 374 crore SNC Lavalin agreement was signed in 1995 to maintain a few dams by the Canadian firm in the state.
