Kochi: A court in Malappuram granted conditional bail to P V Anwar, MLA, of Democratic Movement of Kerala who was arrested in connection with the attack on the Nilambur Forest Office in the district.
The court directed Anwar to deposit a bond of ₹35,000 and two sureties.
Anwar was accused of damaging public property worth ₹50,000 while protesting against the forest department for not protecting the public from animal attacks.
The court directed him to appear before the investigating officer on Wednesdays.
Talking to reporters, Anwar vowed to unseat Chief Pinarayi Vijayan from power. He said that he was willing to work with the Congress to unseat Pinarayi.
