Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday allowed more time for the Crime Branch to wind up the further investigation into the actor abduction case.
The Crime Branch was directed to complete the investigation by April 14.
When the court took up the hearing after the holidays, the Crime Branch sought three more months to complete the investigation.
The Crime Branch said that they had to sift through a lot of digital evidence and carry out forensic examinations which was time consuming.
Rejecting the prosecution’s plea seeking three months’ time, the court allowed the Crime Branch time until May 31 to complete the investigation.
The Court said there will be no more extensions in the case.The Court had rejected Dileep’s plea to either quash the case or allow the CBI to inquire into it.
The Court allowed the Crime Branch to carry on with the investigation.
