India win 3rd ODI, claims series 2-1

Kochi: India won the ODI series against England 2-1 beating the host by five wickets at Old Trafford Ground in England on Sunday.

Powered by an aggressive 125 by wicket keeper Rishabh Pant, India crossed the winning mark of 260 with 47 balls to spare.

Ravindra Jadeja gave good support to him at the other end and remained unbeaten.
Winning the toss, India chose to bowl and bundled out England for 259 in 45.5.

Jos Butler 60, Jason Roy 41, Moen Ali 34 were the main strikers. Hardik Pandya showed his skills with both bat and the ball as he hit  71 and claimed four wickets. Chahal took 3 and Siraj 2 wickets.

Skipper Rohit Sharma and former skipper Virat Kohli made 17 each. Things looked doubtful for India when wickets started falling at close intervals. But, Pant did wonders donning the role of a hero. He remained not out.

For England only Reece Topley could trouble Indian batsmen and he claimed three wickets.
