Kochi: With the District and Sessions Court rejecting former government Chief Whip P C George’s anticipatory bail in a hate speech case in Ernakulam, police are out in search of George who is not reachable.
George’s phone was found switched off. George is likely to challenge the verdict in the High Court on Monday.
George claimed that the police had submitted before the court an edited version of his speech made at Siva temple in Vennala a few days back.
The Palarivattom police had registered cases under Sections 153 A (promoting enimity between groups on the basis of religion) and 295 (injuring or defiling a place of worship b
with the intent to insult the religion of any class of people).
George, who is an Ex MLA, is already on bail in a similar case that was registered against him near Thiruvananthapuram a few days back.
