Kochi: A total of 221 Popular Front of India and SDPI leaders were arrested during sudden raids conducted across the state today.
The raids were conducted in the offices and houses of leaders in many districts mainly Alappuzha, Palakkad and Wayanad.
With today’s arrests the total number of those arrested has gone up to 1,809 since the last raid.
The State police headquarters had got direction to carry out extensive raids across the state. Arms and incriminating articles were seized during the raid which are likely to continue in the coming days.
