Kochi: A 42-year-old school master allegedly stabbed to death a young lady doctor at a government hospital in Kottarakkara in Kollam in Kerala today.
A police official and a hospital guard were injured in the stabbing incident, media reports said.
Dr Vandana Das, 22, hailing from Manjoor in Kottayam, was attacked by the assailant in the wee hours of today.
Dr Das was undergoing house surgeoncy in the hospital.
He was brought to the hospital by the police as he was behaving in an aggressive manner.
The accused was a teacher in the Upper Primary school in Nedumpana in Kollam.
The accused hailing from Kudavoor in Thiruvananthapuram was arrested and taken to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.
A police official of Kottarakkara police station and a home guard attached to the hospital were injured.
