Kochi: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan tonight met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat at Thrissur on Saturday.
They held parleys for about thirty minutes in the house of an RSS activist in Thrissur. The Governor left after the discussion.
The meeting assumes significance as the Governor and the Chief Minister are engaged in a fierce war of words.
The Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had replied in a harsh manner to the Governor’s remarks about the left parties trying to break laws to appoint their candidates in universities.
The Governor has reiterated that he would not clear the bills sent to him if he was not satisfied with it.
Governor had flayed the Chief Minister for making misleading remarks that the Pinarayi was ignorant about the appointment of his personal secretary K K Ragesh’s wife as a faculty in Kannur University despite ranking rock bottom in her credentials.
