Kochi: Fifteen former MLAS, and an ex MP were among those from Tamil Nadu joining the BJP in New Delhi on Wednesday, media reports said.
Majority of them from the AIADMK joined the saffron party in the presence of Union Ministers Rajeev Chandrasekhar and L Murugan Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai.
Annamalai said the new entrants had a wealth of experience which would help in reinforcing the party in the state. Chandrasekhar said the BJP was gaining popularity in the state from where the party was going to win many seats.
