Kochi: A mid air fight between a husband and wife forced the pilots to land the plane in New Delhi on Wednesday, media reports said.
The Bangkok-bound Lufthansa airlines flight tried to land in Pakistan but was denied permission.
Following this the aircraft from Munich was allowed to land at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in New Delhi.
The permission was granted after the the pilots alerted the air traffic control about the brawl aboard the plane
between a German man and his Thai wife who sought the pilots’ help after panicking over her husband’s demeanor. Once the flight landed, the husband was detained by airport security, reports quoting sources at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, said.
The man tendered an apology to the airport authorities who have contacted the German embassy about the incident, the reports said.
