Kochi: A 24-year-old DYFI leader Surya Priya was found murdered in Konnallur in Chittilancherry Palakkad today.
A 27-year-old Sujeesh of Anakappara in Anjumurthimangalam has surrendered before the Alathur police claiming responsibility for the murder.
Surya Priya was DYFI Konalloor unit secretary Chittilanchery area committee member and CDS member of the CDS of Melarcode panchayat.
The murder was said to have happened on Wednesday morning.
Surya and Sujesh were in love for a long time and some differences between them are said to have triggered the murder, media reports said.
