Kochi: A retired policeman was among two held for taking part in suspected terror activities in Phulwarii Sharif in Bihar, media reports said.
Retired policeman Mohammad Jalaluddin and Ather Pervez were detained under the UAPA provisions.
They had alleged connection with the Popular Front of India (PFI). The intelligence agencies of the Bihar police seized posters and pamphlets related to terror activities.
Jalaluddin was earlier in the banned Students Islamic Movement of India. The matters seized from them throw light to their agenda of making India an Islamic nation by 2047.
Ather Ahmed had received training in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. They had stayed in hotels by furnishing fake identity cards. The CCTV clippings showed them training people how to use swords and knives and were instigating people to whip up communal disturbances.
Pervez had received funds from abroad for funding anti national activity, the reports said.
Enforcement Directorate is also probing the case. Pervez’s younger brother is in jail in connection with a blast case.
