Kochi: Gold smuggling case accused Swapna Suresh today collapsed due to fits after she alleged that she was being targeted for speaking out against Kerala chief minister and others.
Swapna said she stood by her allegations that Shaj Kiran was a representative sent by Pinarayi Vijayan to negotiate a deal with her.
She said that whatever Shaj Kiran had said was turning out to be real.
Sarith was detained first as said by him.
She said her lawyer R Krishnaraj was booked to corner her for making a Facebook post.
She said she was being targeted like a terrorist.
Swapna asked why Shaj Kiran was not booked for making remarks against Pinarayi Vijayan and CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.
Swapna asked why her supporters were being targeted by the government. Instead she said they should kill her. She asked why she was not allowed to live peacefully.
Swapna said she stood by the 164 statement made before the court about the role of Chief Minister, some of his family members in the shady activities.
Swapna Suresh had recently alleged the involvement of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his family in the smuggling case.
Swapna Suresh was held in connection with gold smuggling worth over Rs 14 crore in Thiruvananthapuram airport in 2020. Kerala Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary V Sivasankar, was also arrested in the case which is being probed by the Customs, NIA and ED.
