Kochi: India defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets to win the T20 series at Dharamshala at Himachal Pradesh on Saturday.
India leads by winning two of the three matches.
India won the toss and elected to field.
Batting first, Sri Lanka made 183 for five with Nissanka being the leading run getter. Shanaka made 47 and Gunathilaka 38.
For India all the five bowlers B Kumar, Bumrah, H Patel, Y Chahal and R Jadeja took one each with Bumrah being the most economical bowler.
India’s S Iyer made 74, Jadeja 45 and Sanju Samson 39.
L Kumar took two wickets for 31 runs for Sri Lanka.
The third and final one will be played at the same venue on Sunday.
