Kochi: A former police officer killed 34 people and wounded 12 with a gun and knife in at a daycare centre in Thailand. The accused identified as Panya Kamrab, fled the scene in a pickup truck after committing the crime.
The accused ended his life after killing his family in Nong Bua Lamphu province after police launched a manhunt after the attack. The victims include children and adults and his motive behind the attack is not clear.
The officer, who was dismissed last year, did not spare even children as young as two years old. He first shot at least four officials in the childcare centre while the people mistook the gunshots as fireworks.
Then he crashed into the room where the children were sleeping.
