4 KSRTC men suspended for violence

Kochi: Four employees of the debt-ridden Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) were suspended for assaulting a person who had visited the bus stand with his daughter to renew her concession in Thiruvananthapuram today.
Police have also registered case against the accused. Aryanad unit station master A Mohammad Sharief, duty guard of Kattakada depot S R Suresh Kumar, conductor N Anil Kumar, and another employee C P Milan Dorich were suspended by KSRTC based on a report submitted by the vigilance department of the corporation.
The Transport Minister Antony Raju has directed KSRTC MD to conduct a probe within 45 days and take action against them, media reports said.

The incident occured today morning when the victim, who is a panchayat staff, was provoked by one of the accused by demanding course certificate for renewing the consession which he said was given at the time of issuing the concession for first time. This
led to a wordy duel and later into a violence unleashed by the accused who also miisbehaved with the victim’s daugther when she pleaded not to hurt him.
The victim who suffered injuries is hospitalised.
