Kochi: Five medical students were killed and some injured when their car and a bus collided on Monday night.
The car carrying the first year mbbs students of Alappuzha Medical College collided with the Kerala State Road Transportation Corporation (KSRTC) on Monday night. The eleven students were going to see a movie.
The deceased were identified as Shreedeep, Mohammed Ibrahim, Mohammed Jabbar, Ayush Shaji and Devanand.
Three of them died on the spot, while two others were declared brought to Alappuzha Medical College hospital.
Six students suffered injuries and were undergoing treatment at Alappuzha Medical College. Two of them were in critical condition.
Traffic in the sector was disrupted following the accident.
