May 1,Kochi: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a meeting of the National Security Committee on Thursday in the wake of five key steps taken by India after the Kashmir attack claiming 26 lives.
Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, who is also the foreign minister, said on X.
India suspended the Indus Water Treaty and announced downgrading diplomatic ties with Pakistan including expulsion of its military attaches accusing the neighbour of harbouring terror.
The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, resolved to take harsh measures against Pakistan.
The CCS decided to hold the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 in abeyance with immediate effect
until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably abjured its support for cross-border terrorism.
The CCS resolved to seal the Integrated Check Post at Attari with immediate effect.
Travellers who had gone to Pakistan can return through the route before May 1, he said.
“The defence, military, naval and air Advisors in the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi have been declared Persona Non Grata and should quit India in a week.
India will follow suit by calling back its defence, navy and air advisors from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.
