Support for PCB wanes

Kochi: Desperation seems to be gripping Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for lack of support from other boards to boycott the India match even as a massive ICC fine of $38 million is looming large over Pakistan, NDTV reported.
The ICC action included the forfeiture of crucial World Cup points, and potential suspension.
PCB is yet to formally contact ICC about the boycott even as Pakistan’s youth and women’s teams are still playing against India without protest or boycott.
Pakistan is isolated in its decision to boycott the high-profile February 15 World Cup fixture against India with no one coming in support of Islamabad.
The PCB is yet to even make formal contact with the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding the boycott,
despite the Pakistan government announcing it via social media.
The PCB is boycotting the match
as a show of solidarity with Bangladesh which was removed from the tournament.
Pakistan’s youth team recently played against India in the U19 World Cup without any protest or mention of a boycott.
Since the Men’s World Cup match is scheduled for Colombo, Sri Lanka, a neutral venue, the “security concerns” cited by Bangladesh regarding travel to India have no logical application to Pakistan’s situation.
